I have operated my brickwork contract business since 1990 and in recent years I have expanded into property development. I switched accountants to use Essex Abel a few years ago. My previous accountant had done nothing wrong – he did just what was asked of him in a timely and professional fashion and he didn’t charge excessively.
But someone told me that Jason and the team added value to their business by giving proactive suggestions and advice about how the business is structured and operated and helping them to understand the options available. I have found this to be true and they also do everything in a timely and professional manner and don’t charge excessively!
As an example we recently changed from being a sole trader to a partnership as a result of Jason’s discussion of the options and the benefits including the impact on taxes and the ramifications of the changes to company pensions. It is proving to have been a great idea.
